Caramel Chocolate Popcorn
This is one of my top selling items and here is why. I took a fairly traditional granola bar recipe and lightened it up to make granola.
My granola is not too sweet and not too hard in texture. It is moist without being overly soft, yet it can stand up to being used with milk as a cereal, as a topping on yogurt or ice cream, or just as a snack right out of the bag!
The combination of tart dried cherries with sweet raisins and dried apricot are perfect. The crunchy toasted pecans and/or almonds provide the perfect flavor, crunch and texture to the mix. The oats are toasted and mixed with wheat germ, honey, brown sugar, vanilla, a touch of cinnamon and a small amount of butter. The combination is perfection!
There are no preservatives in my granola and, as long as it is kept sealed, it will last a long time in your pantry. It can also be frozen if you purchase a large amount at once.
